It is not always possible to find a good doctor or good treatment at the same place where you are living. Sometimes people get sick and they are to be taken to a different city and many times different country. Not every cure of every disease can be found in your vicinity.
Traveling to a different city
Many times you are to travel to a different city for the treatment of yourself or your children. Many diseases incur a costly treatment. It is highly likely that if you are traveling to a different city or state for the treatment of your kid, then the disease is quite serious. Treatments of these diseases need a huge amount of money. If you are visiting a different city, you are required to find a shelter as well. Hotels cost too much money which would add to your billing list. You might run out of money by just hotel’s bills. But you are there for the treatment and it should always remain the main concern.
What to do?
There are some organizations and people who willingly provide places to sleep for the parents of sick children. They understand that treatment of a kid is quite important and that their parents should save money for their treatment instead of spending all that in a hotel. They also understand that sometimes people cannot afford all those bills so they let people sleep at their special houses at affordable or no price at all.
What is Ronald McDonald House?
Ronald McDonald House is a shelter for the parents of sick children. It provides shelter to many people who come there to treat their children. After admitting their children in a hospital, parents and relatives come here to sleep at night. You can always expect to have a waiting list there.

Every day more and more people are coming with their sick children. It is hard to provide shelter for all of them at once. Ronald McDonald used to have 25 rooms in the beginning. Then they tried to set up a temporary location in the garden to make people sleep but it is still not helping. They are willing to build fifty rooms in total to cope up with their daily needs.
