Paying property tax is easy. You must follow the below steps:

- Select the option that indicates property tax and navigate your way through to the payment option
- Choose the right kind of form based on the suitable category under which your property falls and choose the assessment for which the tax must be paid
- Next, you will be required to fill the property identification number and furnish details of other property-related documents
- Once, you have entered the necessary information, select the appropriate payment mode and pay
- Lastly, make sure to get a printout of the challan or the receipt of the tax payment for future reference

Interest on Property Tax
If you forget to pay the property tax for any assessment year or if you fail to pay within the deadline, the city corporation levies an interest penalty, which is generally a certain percentage of the due amount. The interest is different in different states, but the charges range between 5% to 20%.
